Stampin’ Up! Texture & Frames Thank You Cards

Happy Tuesday! Today’s Texture & Frames thank you cards are easy to make and if you have a Stamparatus, you can make a whole bunch in a very short period of time. These were made during last week’s Facebook Live chat. If you missed it, scroll down to see the video!

Yesterday’s cards featured five of the stamps in the Textures & Frames stamp set. Today’s project uses the sixth stamp (3 lines) from the set. It’s a good basic image that you can use for backgrounds. The entire set is FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-bration!

For this card, the stamp was lined up on the grid paper and pressed onto the Stamparatus plate. I made a mark on the grid paper so that I knew where to line up my cardstock. Once the cardstock is in place, stamp the first image. To line up the rest, simply pull the plate out of the Stamparatus hinges, move it down one hinge, ink the image & restamp. You can see this process in action in the video below.

Both cards are monochromatic which means that all elements (except the black!) are the same colour. The main colour in the card above is Pale Papaya. Fresh Freesia is the colour of the card below. Each has ink, cardstock, ribbon & rhinestones that are the same colour. It makes matching things up very easy.

The thank you phrase on these cards can be found in the Artistically Inked stamp set. It’s the perfect size for these cards. I only made 2 of them, but think I’m going to make some more because they are good to have on hand.

Once stamped, wrap a piece of the 3/8″ Open Weave ribbon, around the cardstock. Wrap a piece of black Baker’s Twine around twice, and secure in the back. Make sure that your adhesive is very sticky so that all of your ribbon/twine stays in place.

Finally… the black cardstock was glued directly to the card base, but the white cardstock was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. It gives the card a bit of a lift. Adding the jewels after this last step ensures that they don’t fall off when you’re gluing things down.

Thanks for stopping by today. I have one more Sale-a-bration Textures & Frames project that I’ll post tomorrow. It’s another thank you card, and definitely a stepped up project, but it’s very pretty. If you have questions before then, please add a comment or drop me a quick e-mail and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Happy Stamping!
