Two Honeybee Home Cards with Picture This Dies

Happy Friday! I have two Honeybee Home cards today, both created using one of the Picture This dies. When you combine these dies with a piece of Designer Series Paper, you instantly have a fabulous background for your card. Let’s have a look!

Images from Honeybee Home have been used on both cards. In both cases, pieces of the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper were cut and glued to the back of the die cut cardstock.

For the first card, I die cut the Garden Green cardstock panel with the rectangle Picture This die, and then embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. This one is on the Retirement list, and it’s devastating to me and many other Demonstrators because we LOVE it. The bees were stamped, and coloured with Stampin’ Blends. Cutting them is super easy because we have dies for that! Anything to get away from fussy cutting.

The Pale Papaya ribbon is so lovely, and I almost forgot that I have a roll in my collection. The Iridescent Rhinestones are new to the Jan-June Mini Catalogue. Finally, the Treasured Tags Pick a Punch is being retired. Understandable, because I think it’s likely the least used by stampers. I find the one side too finicky for my cards, but I do enjoy using the other side.

On to the second card! This one uses the same Picture This die, and one of the sets of flowers from Honeybee Home. I should mention that both will still be available moving forward because they’re in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. The DSP however will be discontinued as of June 30th.

As you can see, this card is quite similar to the other one, except for it’s overall colour scheme. Instead of Garden Green and Pale Papaya, we’re working with Old Olive and Fresh Freesia. Unlike the card above, the only thing on this card that is retiring is the Designer Series Paper. The Timeworn Type embossing folder, and the Lovely Labels Pick-a-Punch are both carrying forward.

One of the die cuts behind the flower benefits from a bit of colouring. I took my Old Olive Stampin’ Blends out, and did a bit of random colouring on the die cut, while it was still inside the main piece of cardstock that I had cut it from. Colouring the die cut this way ensured that I didn’t have strong edges to it, just variation in the colour.

Thanks for stopping by today. These cards are easy to make with the Picture This dies, and I really like the look of the Honeybee Home stamps that have been die cut and layered on the cards. Why not try and create these on your own! The cards from last night’s Waves of Inspiration Facebook Live will be posted at some point next week. The gray light today is preventing me from taking even remotely decent photos. Watch for them a bit later. If you have questions or need assistance with any stamping, or papercrafting products or techniques. Call/text me at 289-928-5713 or send an email to wendy@wendyslittleinklings.com and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Until later, Happy Stamping!
