Happy Sunday, & Happy Mother’s Day! It’s a lovely day outside, even if it is a bit chilly for this time of year. I’ll still take it though because I remember one year when it rained, hailed, and snowed – all in one day. I’m stamping today, creating the projects for this week’s blog posts and Facebook Live session on Thursday night.
As you can see, the size of the font on the post hasn’t been changed. I tried again, and the settings won’t allow me. I’m now on the hunt for a new theme…
Once again, I’m happily sharing projects created by talented Team Flamingo stampers. My Stampin’ Up! team has over 20 people in it, is very creative, and apparently quite shy. I keep trying to convince them to join us and share their completed projects – 4 did so this week, and as always, their projects are lovely.
First up this week is Colleen Weddell. She has created a very spring-like card using the In Bloom Bundle. You can find the bundle page 79 in the January-June mini catalogue. Both the In Bloom stamp set and the Pierced Blooms dies are being carried over to the Annual Catalogue. However, they are available at 10% off until the end of June. At that point the bundle itself will be discontinued.
Bianca Cervoni has clearly enjoyed playing with the Hand Penned Suite. The Coordinating Hand-Penned Petals Bundle (stamps, dies), Designer Series Paper and Genial Gems give you the basics that you can use to create gorgeous cards.
Julie MacIsaac’s card is stunning in its simplicity and colour. The gorgeous Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper is part of the Simply Elegant Suite. Featuring the new Elegantly Said stamp set and Elegant Tag Punch, this suite is perfect for beautiful cards with metallic undertones.
Finally, Cathy Harker has also used the Hand Penned Suite to create this very pretty card. If you look at the layout of this card as well as Julie’s card, you can see that they’re similar. Scroll down a bit more to see why.
I posted a card sketch on my Team Facebook page last week, and these are two of the cards that have been posted in response. Hopefully I can post the actual sketch as well as a bunch of other cards created with that sketch next Sunday. It will give you an idea of how to take a sketch and turn it into a project.
Aren’t these projects wonderful? These demonstrators put a lot of time and effort into their projects, and it really shows in the photographs.
Join Stampin’ Up!, and become part of Team Flamingo and a larger community with fellow demonstrators across Canada. We have very active Facebook groups, take part in challenges, share our creativity, and gather any way that we can.
