Stampin’ Up! Meadow Dies Card Idea

Happy Friday! My last card uses one stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set, but it uses 3 different Meadow Dies from the bundle. Before we have a closer look, let me tell you a very quick story. Yesterday I tried to create a page on this site to list my Mystery Box bundles for the weekend. I ended up almost breaking my site. After almost having a complete breakdown, I cleaned my kitchen, and fixed a lot of it. Unfortunately, as of today, some of the fonts aren’t working properly. My theme wasn’t allowing me to fix them yesterday, but I’ll have a look again this afternoon. I *think* I may have to change the theme of the site. Stay tuned…

I had some fun making this one, because I was trying all kinds of different colour combinations for the green stems. After being surrounded by die cuts, I finally decided on the Just Jade and Shaded Spruce combination. Both look really good against the Pale Papaya cardstock.

I’ve begun adding colour chips to many of my blog posts, because it makes it easier for you to remember the combinations. You can find them in the category drop down menu to the right as well.

Stamping on this card consists of the dots that you can find on the card base, as well as on the white greenery. I also stamped the faded word stamp across the bloom as well, to add a bit of interest. It was quite plain without something added.

The flower was die cut twice – once in Just Jade, and once in Pale Papaya. I cut the blooms from the second, and glued them to the first. I recommend using the liquid Multipurpose glue to help match them up. You have a bit of play, and can move them around until they’re in their proper place.

As you can see, this is a fairly stepped up card from what I normally create. Definitely one for avid stampers and crafters. There is a wide variety of images in the Meadow Dies set, which gives you ample opportunity to add/delete pieces and move them all over your project. I did emboss the Crumb Cake cardstock underneath, to play on this theme.

Finally, don’t you love this Pale Papaya and White 1/2″ ribbon? The card is sitting beside me, and the sheen coming off of it is SO pretty. Although I didn’t add a sentiment to the front, I am giving this one to my mom this weekend. It’s such a bright and pretty card for Mother’s Day.
