Good morning stampers! Every once in awhile I like to pull out a stamp set that hasn’t seen any love for awhile. I recently made some 3×3 Swirly Bird notecards for baby gifts, not because I need them now, but because it’s good to have these on hand.
These little cards were CASE’d from a Stampin’ Up! photo. I wanted to make something fast, with colours that can be changed if needed. When flipping through Pinterest, the original Stampin’ Up! photo popped up on my feed, and I thought the card was perfect for what I was looking for. Pair a card up with one of our Whisper White 3″x3″ envelopes, and you can easily tuck this into a gift bag.
Both the bird and eggs are full stamps, so to achieve the illusion that they are sitting in the nest, I stamped the nest onto the cardstock and then masked it off. It’s easy to do – just stamp the nest onto a sticky note, cut it out, and then place it overtop of the nest on the cardstock. Stamp your images, and then peel it off. Tada! You have a bird and eggs in a nest!
Itty Bitty Greetings is a new stamp set that is full of tiny greetings, perfect for cards this size. The words were stamped in something a bit darker than the original ink so that they didn’t disappear.
