Happy Wednesday! We FINALLY have a bit of sunshine out there! Today’s Sweet as a Peach card was created with the help of a card sketch. So, even though it’s Wednesday, we’re sort of going Back to Basics, and sort of not. Let’s chat about that.
I have enjoyed playing with the Sweet as a Peach bundle this week, and thought that I would create today’s project with the help of a card sketch. Yes, I know that the sketch belongs to a COMPLETELY different stamp company, but ignore that. The sketch itself is what you want to focus on. This was posted in my Team Flamingo group a couple of weeks ago as a sketch challenge, and I didn’t have a chance to make my project until earlier this week.
You need a card base, two other pieces of paper, and two circles (or something similar). The rectangles can be Designer Series Paper or cardstock. It’s entirely up to you. I opted for two patterns from the You’re a Peach DSP pack (currently on sale at 15% off!). Both of these are the “backsides” to patterns that are more vivid. I often find that I prefer the simpler patterns because they’re easier to work with. As long as I like one side of each paper, I’m happy.
As you can see, the sketch doesn’t include a spot for a sentiment or phrase. I was moving the peaches around before gluing them down, trying to decide their placement and where to add a sentiment. I was also trying to decide on a colour, and stamped three to test them out.
In the end I decided on the Calypso Coral ‘thanks’, but added a Pear Pizzazz punched piece in behind to make it stand out a bit better. Oh, and a few rhinestones because bling makes everything better.

Thanks for stopping by today! This Sweet as a Peach card fits the sketch challenge perfectly, but you can use any paper, cardstock, and stamps to create something entirely different.
