Happy Wednesday! Today’s card is a Quiet Meadow fun fold Card that has a ‘latch’ to keep it closed. It is a former Facebook Live project that wasn’t posted here, but that I want to share because I think it’s such a pretty card.
What makes this a fun fold card? It has a different profile, because the right side of the front of the card is slimmer than the inside. As I mention in the Facebook video, the easiest way to figure out the size of the card is to cut a half sheet of cardstock, fold it in half, and then cut off an inch from one side. Voila! You have the correct size for this project.
I love this colour combination. It has such a fresh feel to it and although I made this in the spring, you can certainly give it to someone in the summer. The Colour Chip for this project has been added to the Colour Chip resource, making it easy to find it again in the future.
If you haven’t used the Tailor Made Tags die set yet, you’ll definitely want to pull it out. Evening Evergreen was used to stamp the large floral Quiet Meadow image, and I carefully added a bit of colour using Stampin’ Blends. Generally (okay, almost always) you don’t want to use these with Classic Ink, because they should be used with Memento black ink. However, if you add just a *bit* of colour you can get away with it. There is very little blending on this card – just colouring.
The Thinking of You phrase on the front was also stamped in Evening Evergreen, and punched with the fan favourite Banners Pick a Punch. It is SUCH a versatile punch, and I highly recommend it to all stampers, regardless of ability.
This card does have a butterfly ‘latch’. Add a dimensional under the right side of the die cut butterfly (Meadow dies), and you’re good to go.
