Hello happy stampers! A neighbour recently asked me for an anniversary card for her daughter, and I stamped this card for her. Isn’t it pretty? I used the Petal Palette and Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to create a card that she adored.
This card was loosely CASE’d from one originally published by Stampin’ Up! It’s not quite the same though, because although the layout is similar, the colours and stamping are different.
Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends allow you to colour the flowers and leaves with shading and richness. Adding to the richness of the colour is the sumptuous (that’s right, sumptuous!) Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon. It’s soft, but easy to work with. Tranquil Tide velvet ribbon will be available in the Holiday Catalogue, and will look wonderful on holiday projects.
Rather than using Designer Series Paper, I opted to stamp the design on the left side of the card with a stamp from the Petal Palette stamp set. Its style matches the main flowers, and is easy to place and stamp on the cardstock.
Don’t you love this sentiment? It’s the right size for the card, and the mix of fonts is lovely. You can find this saying, along with many others, in the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. The flowers in that set are pretty, but it’s worth owning just for the sentiments.
