Happy Thursday Stampers! Today’s project uses both the Peekaboo Farm stamp set & Give it a Whirl dies. You’ll recognize the animals from last week’s projects. This week they’re just having a bit more fun.
Today’s colour combination is simple, with only two colours added to Basic White cardstock. What really sets this card apart is that I have layered a piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper on the front other card. I think it gives the card a bit of a rustic barn field.
I chose three animals today that everyone loves – horse, cow & pig. Petal Pink was chosen as the projects’ accent colour for because the pig was coloured with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends.
A piece of Early Espresso 1/4″ Faux Suede Trim was added behind the stamped cardstock. You may recall that I was disappointed with the Banner Triple Punch was retired, but I am happy to have the Banners Pick a Punch to work with. Punching the ‘non banner’ end of a cardstock strip is unexpected. I no longer have to try and punch the cardstock by threading it through the backside of the punch to achieve this look. Linen thread was tied in a bow, and added to the cardstock with a glue dot.
If you look closely, you can see that there is an arrow beside the wheel. The Give it a Whirl die set does include three dies that emboss these types of arrows. Just a little feature that helps to finish the card.
