Happy Monday! It’s Case the Catalogue Monday, and today’s project was created using the All Squared Away Bundle. This is another bundle that I had my eye on as I leafed through the catalogue for the first time. Let’s have a look.
The All Squared Away Bundle, as well as the card samples, can be found on page 117 of the catalogue. Within Stampin’ Up!, we refer to stampers as basic, casual and avid stampers. This just refers to the level of stampers’ confidence, as well as their desired card complexity. Some like to create super fast, easy cards, while others want to take their time, creating a masterpiece for someone special. It doesn’t matter where you fall in – I’m generally a casual to avid stamper, but sometimes a basic card is absolutely perfect.
The reason I’m sharing this is that the photo on page 117 shows all three styles – basic, casual & avid.
A couple of notes about the centre card, which is the one that I recreated. It is 5″ wide, slightly narrower than what we generally use for our card bases. Second, ink was added to the upper right image using Sponge Daubers. It’s an easy technique, and one that you will see on a Thursday night Facebook Live Fun Fold card in a couple of weeks.
The colour scheme for this card is lovely for the spring, because the Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green work so well together. Don’t forget that you can find this Colour Chip, along with others that I have previously used, on my Colour Chip page.
The All Squared Away Bundle has a combination of stamps and dies that allow you to mix and match images. The stamps have 4 square images with different patterns. You can use these on their own, or add a die cut flower on top. This week’s card uses both, but you can see in the photo that the card on the left only uses the stamps.
Here are the actual die cuts from the bundle. The smaller flowers fit perfectly on top of the flowers in the square images. They give you a big hit of colour when you want it.
The bundle is well priced at $61 (158382), and don’t forget that you’re saving 10% over buying the stamps and dies separately. Make sure that you have some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or the Adhesive sheets on hand because gluing the edges is tricky.
Finally, 5 of the Loose Flower Embellishments have been added to the card front. These are SO pretty! Adhere them with Glue Dots or Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
