It’s a Saturday in winter, which means relaxation and a nice cup of tea. Today’s project was made with the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set, which has a bunch of cute images in it. This card also has a bit of backstory to it.
Earlier this week, I posted a card that used the card pieces from my team leader’s January Christmas party. This is another project from that same party. This time I absolutely do not have the stamps needed to make the card, so I improvised, choosing the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set. As an aside, I’ve owned it since June 2020, and only pulled it out now. I need to make some more projects with it because it’s cute!
All of the cut cardstock was in my pack, and the Pretty Peacock piece was embossed. To coordinate with the cardstock, I chose Rich Razzleberry ink. Stamping the cup repeatedly on the strips of cardstock gave them a bit of oomph.
Rich Razzleberry is a pretty strong colour, so I did stamp it off on scrap paper once before stamping it on the white cardstock. Trust me when I say that the first attempt at the cut was overwhelming.
Normally I would stamp all of the images first and then die cut them out. This time I did the reverse because I already had the circle. Which actually worked to my advantage because I had to figure out how to fit everything into that circle. I ended up inking only part of the steam for the cup. If I had inked the entire stamp, it would have covered up part of the phrase at the top.
