Happy Friday everyone! I have two Forever Lovely Open House cards to share with you this morning. One is the card that everyone who came to the Open House is familiar with, while the second is similar, but never made it out of the box.
Colleen Weddell, a member of Team Flamingo, prepped these cards for the Open House. As you can see, they are extremely similar, because they both use the Forever Lovely stamp set and All My Love Designer Series Paper.
The colour scheme for each card is completely different, because Colleen chose different pieces of DSP for their backgrounds.
*Tip* Choose a colour scheme for your card from the DSP that you wish to use. It’s much more difficult to fit the DSP into a colour scheme that you have already chosen.
The stamped sentiment and the ribbon is the same on both cards. All ribbon came from the All My Love Ribbon Combo pack, which contains 2 spools of coloured ribbon (5 yards/spool). Colleen cut pieces from both spools, and layered them under the sentiment panel. It gives the card a bit of extra oomph, without using a lot of ribbon. Here are a couple of close-ups:
