Stampin’ Up! Back to the Basics with Beauty of Friendship

Hi Stampers! It’s Wednesday, so we’re going Back to the Basics with the Beauty of Friendship bundle. It’s an absolutely gorgeous day outside (27C), and the leaves are really beginning top pop out of the trees. I was out in my garden this morning, will be going back out to snip some of my pretty evergreens later this afternoon.

Our layout today is very easily to replicate. It is a large image in the centre of the card, with a sentiment/phrase laid across. You want to try and have it placed about 2/3 of the way down the card. This one is a tad lower, but only because it wouldn’t look right if I had it at that magical 2/3 mark.

What could you put as the large image on the card? Large die cuts work really well, like this tree from the Beautiful Trees die set. You could also stamp a large image, and place the sentiment slightly to the left or right, at that 2/3 mark. Adding a large rectangle, with a stamped image, would also look really nice. Let’s have a look at the Beautiful Trees dies, as they are part of the Beauty of Friendship bundle, which I’m highlighting this week.

There are two different sizes of trees in the set. The large green die cut on the left, as well as the yellow die cut, fits the large tree above. The other two match the stamps that are in the Beauty of Friendship set, and the smaller tree.

On today’s card, I opted to use the die that matches the yellow die cut, with some of the gorgeous paper from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper pack. Both were glued to the card with Multipurpose Adhesive because it’s so much easier than using Stampin’ Seal.

To increase the oomph on this card, I embossed the white background with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. It was glued to the Early Espresso cardstock and the entire layer was popped up with dimensionals.

The ‘thank you’ was stamped and die cut with the rectangle from the die set. I really like that you can see an embossed line on the inner edges of the rectangle. It’s a small detail, but it’s one that is lovely on a project. This too was popped up on the card. A couple of pearls were added to finish it off.

Don’t forget that you can purchase the Beauty of the Earth stamp set and Beautiful Trees dies separately, or purchase them together as a bundle to save 10%. You could also purchase the entire suite all at once using a single item number ($100.25 – 155843). The full supply list for this card can be found at the bottom of the post.
