It’s a relatively decent March day out there today. The temperature is above freezing, and it’s partly cloudy. Not nearly as warm as it was during the last week of February, but you can tell that spring is on its way. I took a quick look at my garden last week to see if anything had started to poke through. When it’s that warm, anything can happen! I’m happy and sad to say that none of my daffodils have begun their spring journey upward, but it will be soon! I love daffodils, and fell in love when I saw the You’re Inspiring stamp set in the Occasions catalogue.
These flowers were coloured in with Stampin’ Blends, and it was really easy to add the colour and highlighting on the blooms. I have a few varieties in my garden, and I’m pleased that I will be able to colour them in using different colour schemes. For these daffodils, I opted for simple flowers blowing in the breeze. I would love to try creating a mass drifting of flowers, but I think that masking them all would be a royal pain, and WAY too much work.
The layout for this card is a classic, and can be used for many types of projects. Adding some overall embossing, ribbon, and Stampin’ Dimensionals amped it up, and helped to add to it’s overall pretty factor.
