Verdant Garden CASE’d Card Idea

Good morning stampers! Today’s card features the Verdant Garden stamp set, and was CASE’d from the Annual Catalogue. Not familiar with the “CASE” term? It’s short for ‘Copy & Share Everything’. We use the acronym in part to give credit to creators of those projects that we recreated. Let’s have a look at today’s card.

Copying a card from the catalogue is a great way to see what the card truly looks like. It can be difficult to get a true sense of colour and scale when viewing a photograph. It can sometimes be difficult to determine what the Stampin’ Up! artist used to create the project.

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are fortunate because we have access to a wonderful document that provides details as to what was used on a project, along with any important notes about techniques or construction of the final project. It’s not something that we can share, so consider it one of those demonstrator perks. Interested in more demo perks? Find them on my Team Flamingo page.

The colour combo for this card comes directly from the catalogue. You can download the graphic below, or save it to Pinterest, because they do work well together.

A few notes about the project:

  1. Using a Stamparatus will make it much easier to stamp the background. Use both plates to help the process move faster. NOTE: you will need to play with the spacing though, because it doesn’t completely work with the placement/spacing of the hinges. Test the stamping on the Stamparatus grid paper, moving it by about 1/4″ (I can’t remember the exact amount).
  2. The piece of Garden Lane DSP has been punched with the Triple Banner Punch, but it is the opposite end of the punch. Slide your 2″ wide piece through the back of the punch, and hit the lever once the paper is fully underneath.
  3. Petal Pink cardstock was used for the punched sentiment. It is larger than the Tailored Tag piece normally punched, so you’re going to punch it the same way as the Triple Banner piece.
  4. The ribbon has been folded in half; the two edges don’t meet because you want to see both edges of the solid border.
