Happy Sunday! It’s a soggy kind of day outside, but April showers bring May flowers. In this, the oddest of springs so far, I’ll take it. Water is needed at this time of year for our plants to thrive, and I can’t ever a remember a year when my hostas began to pop through the ground before the forsythia has bloomed.
Once again, I’m happily sharing projects created by talented Team Flamingo stampers. My Stampin’ Up! team is very creative, and while most of them are shy, three of my team shared completed projects this week. All feature retiring stamps, which isn’t something that we discussed ahead of time.
First up is Cathy Harker. Cathy lives around the corner from me, and we safely walked our dogs together on Friday – one was on the sidewalk, while the other was on the road. The dogs were happy, and it was lovely to chat with her for a time. Cathy CASE’d this Bloom & Grow card from Sue Vine, a very talented Australian demonstrator. This stamp set will the focus of next week’s blog projects – a complete coincidence.
Next up we have three wonderful cards from Katrina Barker-Pyke. She did an SUO Challenge (SUO = Stampin’ Up! Only), which was to CASE from the catalogue, and use favourite retiring stamp sets. The first is on page 59 of the current Annual Catalogue, and uses the stamps from the Snow Front stamp set.
The second can be found on page 56, and was created with stamps from the My Meadow stamp set.
Finally, the card below can be found on page 128. Katrina said that she had to improvise as she was missing some of the colours and paper. She was also missing the embossing folder that was inked for the background, so she improvised by inking her background paper, and lifting the colour off with packing foam!!!
Last, but certainly not least, is a card created by Bianca Cervoni. She has created two gorgeous cards that have use the retiring Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper, and have a wonderful spring feeling to them. Such pretty cards.
Aren’t these projects wonderful? These demonstrators put a lot of time and effort into their projects, and it really shows in the photographs.
Join Stampin’ Up!, and become part of Team Flamingo and a larger community with fellow demonstrators across Canada. We have very active Facebook groups, take part in challenges, share our creativity, and gather any way that we can.
As always, please email or message if you have questions about Stampin’ Up!, Team Flamingo, or anything else stamping related. I’ll be happy to get back to you and would love to be able to feature you in our next Team Flamingo Stampers post. Happy Sunday, and Happy Stamping!
