Sweet as a Peach Card Idea

Happy Tuesday! Today’s project is another Sweet as a Peach Card that is super cute. I received this one in a recent swap from Lisa Hardie, who makes really pretty cards. It kind of makes up for the “fine” summer weather we’ve been having so far. If you live in Southern Ontario, you know exactly what I mean. My A/C is on – not because it’s warm, but because I’m trying to keep the humidity out of the house. It’s bad for my cardstock! On to the card…

Lisa’s Sweet as a Peach Card has Calypso Coral cardstock for the base. It’s one of main colours in the You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper, and you’ll find it on a lot of peach themed cards.

On this card, a 4-1/2″ x 3″ piece was cut and glued to the card base. One of the colours in this pack is Mango Melody, but looking through the paper, you only ever see a hint of it within the paper patterns. Look at the fruit on the left side of the card… see how there is just a bit of Mango Melody? This is how you’ll see it in the different sheets of DSP. However, you can absolutely use it in your stamping or your paper because it does coordinate with the others in the pack.

The peaches, branch and leaves were stamped onto the cardstock along with the super sweet phrase. I often call my daughter “Peach” or “Peachy”, so I can see myself using just the sentiments on cards for her. Her birthday is in September, but I’m not sure if I’ll get away with adding this to her birthday card. Teenagers are so fickle!

Once stamped, the entire image was die cut with the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. Don’t laugh, but I never remember to pull this set out to use. Even though I enjoy the look of stitching on cards, and constantly use my Stitched Rectangles. I do have another card that I will be posting later this week that features the dies on the front. It’s the card that I was *going* to use on my Facebook Live, however I am cancelling this week’s demonstration because I have a “work training” thing online at 7:30 Thursday evening. Seriously. I’d rather be online with you!

The full supply list for this card can be found at the bottom of the post. If you need any stamping supplies, I would be very happy to be your demonstrator. Just click on the link below to go directly to my Online Store. Shop 24/7 in the comfort of your home, and ship it directly to you!

Thanks for stopping by today! Lisa’s Sweet as a Peach card is pretty easy to make. Don’t forget the sponging around the edge to finish it all off. Don’t forget… if you’re local to me (Durham Region or East GTA), today is the last day to complete the online survey about a possible Live In Person Stamping Event this fall. In the meantime, please email me if you have questions or need help with something and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Until tomorrow, Happy Stamping!
