A Stitched All Around fun fold card – so easy to make!

Good morning stampers!  Here’s the second of my Bingo make & takes from Friday night.  This Stitched All Around fun fold card was SO fast and easy to make.  The hardest part is cutting and scoring the paper!

Wendy's Little Inklings: Stitched All Around fun fold card

When prepping for the event, I was a tad frustrated with myself because I’m a pretty organized person.  Everything was ordered ahead of time, goody bags put together, large prizes laid, but there was one thing I forgot.  To double check the Designer Series Paper to ensure that I have enough.  The card in the bottom right was to be “the” card, but apparently I was missing a piece of Tranquil Textures DSP.  So, half of the cards used a different piece from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP pack.  I’m grateful that my ladies were able to look past this and make their cards.

To make this card, you need to cut a sheet of cardstock on the diagonal.  If you’re paper cutter is long enough to do this, you shouldn’t have a problem.  If it’s not, you’ll need a self healing mat and an x-Acto cutter.  Once you have it cut, the paper is scored at 5-1/2″ on the long side, and 4-1/4″ on the short side.  They are the same measurements that you would use if you were cutting a piece into quarters.

The DSP is 5″ x 3-3/4″, cut along the diagonal.  Now… here’s something to consider.  If you are fussy about the way that your card opens (ie. folds open to the right or left), you’ll need to take that into account when cutting your DSP.  Look up and you’ll see that I have both styles of cards. It doesn’t really matter which one you choose, but if you are particular, think this one through first.

Adding a quick belly band with your stamped and die cut sentiment, keeps the card closed and finishes it off.  This one is not elaborate because it was a Make & Take project.  The band is 1″ wide, and the sentiment from Stitched All Around stamped in Night of Navy ink.  Once stamped, it was die cut with the large die from the Stitched Labels Framelits.

The Stitched All Around stamp set and Stitched Labels Framelits can be purchased separately, or you can purchase them as a bundle and save 10%.  I have added both options to my supply list below to make it easier to see the pricing for each.

Don’t forget to pop by Retired Items Sale on Friday night!  I’ll be posting photos on social media later today, because most of the items that will be in Friday’s sale are ready to.  As I mentioned yesterday, there’s a lot of paper!!!  Open 12×12 cardstock and Designer Series Paper is 50 cents a sheet, and the stack of cardstock is an inch high!  Doors open at 7pm, and it’s cash or eTransfer only.

I’m off to finish my one-day-late newsletter, and September’s shadowbox sampler.  I’m going to try very hard to have the finished sample posted tomorrow.  The Bingo Ladies got a bit of a preview, and some of the class spots disappeared instantaneously.  You won’t want to miss out!  Happy Stamping!
