Happy Wednesday! Sale-a-bration is in full swing, and today’s card features the Special Moments stamp set and the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper. Both can be found in this year’s Sale-a-bration book, and you can enjoy both with a qualifying purchase. This card will also be posted, along with two more, as part of a challenge during our Facebook Sale-a-bration Spectacular on Sunday, January 23rd. Details about this event, along with a downloadable tutorial for this card can be found near the bottom of the post.
Before I forget… if you don’t have paper copies of the Sale-a-bration or January-June 2022 Mini Catalogues, you can find both on my Catalogues page, including links to the English and French versions.
When I began creating this card, I knew that I wanted the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper to have a large impact. It coordinates with the Daffodil Daydream Bundle in the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue, but I’m looking for other ways to use it because I don’t have the bundle. Pairing it with a larger sentiment is an easy way to make a card with a lot of visual impact. You can earn a pack for free with a $60 (+tax/ship) purchase during Sale-a-bration.
After choosing the Designer Series Paper, I went to Pinterest to look for a card sketch that would show off the paper. I found one that is almost identical to the layout for this card, and ran with it.
It’s quite a basic sketch, but with the larger phrase from the Special Moments stamp set, it’s perfect. There is some diecutting and embossing on this card. However, you can make it without any die cutting if you just use rectangles with a square or circle for your sentiment.
You can enjoy the Special Moments stamp set for free with a $120 purchase (+tax/ship). It has a good variety of greetings and phrases, with current and mixed fonts. If you have been following me for awhile, you know that’s important to me.
Before gluing my top rectangle to the card, I cut a long piece of vanilla Baker’s Twine to wrap and tie around the paper. The Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack is one of those things that everyone needs in their cardmaking supplies. There are 5 colours in the pack, making it handy to find something that will work on a project when you need that ‘one last thing’.
The supply list for today’s project can be found at the bottom of the post. If you need any stamping supplies, I would be very happy to be your demonstrator. Just click on the link below to go directly to my Online Store. Shop 24/7 in the comfort of your home, and ship it directly to you!

Along with my friend Amy Cook, I am hosting a Sale-a-bration Spectacular event on Sunday, January 23rd on Facebook. We will have projects, live technique demonstrations, and a prize or two to give away. We’ll also unveil our new Recipe Card program that we’re really excited about. I even brought home a cute recipe box from the store yesterday to store mine! Mark it on your calendar because everyone is welcome, and we hope to see you there. Click here to join the group.
