Happy Monday! It’s snowing again, so I have a happy spring-like card for you today. This Special Moments Angle card has a lot of white (vanilla) space on it, so even thought the Designer Series Paper is busy, it’s still an easy card to look at.
This card is one of a trio of cards that I made with the help of card sketches. In addition, they all have sentiments from the Special Moments stamp set, and the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper. Both are part of the Sale-a-bration freebie options this winter. The first card was posted last week.
I am finding that this particular Designer Series Paper pack is a bit polarizing this year because the designs on one side of each sheet are all bold and colourful. This card uses a big piece, but it is mostly hidden, so it’s not quite as ‘in your face’ as some of the other patterns.
I do like the colour scheme though. The colours found in today’s Colour Chip are something that you can easily work with on another project. I’m adding this Chip to the Colour Chip Resource page. Make sure you bookmark the page for future inspiration.
The most difficult part of this card is deciding exactly how to angle the layered cardstock on the front of the card. Honestly, the easiest way is to cut the cardstock a bit larger than you’d like it to be on the card, attach it with your preferred angle, and cut off the excess. I do have a written tutorial that you can download which gives you measurements to work with. The card sketch is also below. Scroll down for the link.
