Happy Monday! Today’s project is a Quiet Meadow card, created with Misty Moonlight ink and cardstock. Isn’t the colour striking against the Basic White cardstock? This is a favourite colour of mine, and looking at it this afternoon, I realize that I haven’t added it to a recent project. Let’s have a closer look at the card.
I would love to be able to take credit for this pretty card, but it was made by Jenn Tinline, a fellow Canadian demonstrator. I’m far behind in my stamping, and was grateful to discover that I have some pretty swap cards from May that haven’t been posted yet.
Jenn added white craft ink and 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, to balance the Misty Moonlight cardstock. Stamping directly onto the blue cardstock gives you a really nice background. Just make sure the ink is dry before assembling the card. All stamps are from the Quiet Meadow set.
Die cutting the main image with the scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly helps with the feminine feel of the card. Looking at this card is relaxing – something that I desperately need right now. Two of my kids are leaving for school in the next two weeks. I have no qualms about one of them leaving, but I’m concerned about the other. So, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. Thank goodness I’m good at making lists because they help me focus and get through the day. Anyhow…
