You’ve all seen One Sheet Wonder cards, made with Designer Series Paper. Today I have Candy Canes One Sheet Wonder Cards. These are different because they’re not made with DSP, but with one Candy Canes stamped image. By carefully cutting the image, you can create 4 cards, along with a tag. These cards were demonstrated during last night’s Facebook Live presentation. You can catch the replay here.
Start by stamping the Candy Canes stamp in Real Red onto a 6″ x 5″ piece of cardstock. This cardstock is larger than the stamp, but well worth it because you need to cut the image right along the edges. Using your Stamparatus ensures that you have a straight, clean edge. You’ll also have a well stamped image to work with.
Once stamped, cut the excess Basic White cardstock off right at the very edge of the image. At that point you can begin cutting the image down into individual pieces. There are three columns, so it’s best that you begin with vertical cuts. Use the template above for reference.
Once you have cut the pieces, you can construct the cards. The two really thin pieces are waste and can be tossed. The piece in the upper right corner is not on any of the cards, but it is a good size to add to a tag.
*Note* Evening Evergreen is the colour of the green cardstock and ink, while all red is Real Red. Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon are also on all of the cards. The greetings are all found in the Peaceful Deer and Words of Cheer stamp sets.
Card number 1 – strip on left side
Card number 2 – Square at top of middle strip
Card number 3 – Three panels at bottom of centre strip
Card number 4 – Rectangle at bottom of right strip
