I used the Happy Thoughts stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! January-June Mini Catalogue to create one design, 3 ways. Let’s have a look at them.
Today’s cards were inspired by a set created by Jackie Bolhuis. She combined the Happy Thoughts stamp set from the Mini Catalogue with the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper found in the Sale-a-bration catalogue to make these quick and easy cards.
As you can see, it’s just a piece of rectangular DSP, glued to the cardstock with our Stampin’ Seal (which I LOVE!) The base on this card is Poppy Parade, and the sentiment was stamped in the same colour. A few of the Bumblebee coloured 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots were added after I punched it with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch (which I also LOVE!)
The second card uses some of the Just Jade cardstock, with the coordinating ink. This time I used the Tailored Tag punch – the sentiment fits perfectly. The same pack of coordinating Enamel Dots has the colour I need, so I added these on as well.
This card is the brightest of all because the base is Flirty Flamingo! All of the card base colours come directly from the colours in the Flower & Field DSP. This paper works really well for simple cards like these. The Story Label punch was used on this card, along with Basic Rhinestones.
Did you notice the dots around the edge? These were added with my Stampin’ Chalk Marker & Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. It’s easy to do with a ruler. Just line it up on the side of the paper and mark it at even spaces along the edge.
