Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello Coloured with Soft Pastels

Happy Monday! Today’s project combines the Friendly Hello stamps, coloured with Stampin’ Up!’s Soft Pastels. As you’ll remember, the bundle is available during Sale-a-bration, and can be chosen for free with a $120 purchase.

During our Sale-a-bration Spectacular in January, I demonstrated how to use our Soft Pastels Assortment on a number of different projects. These chalk pastels are very easy to use, and it’s another way to add colour to your cards. There are eight colours in the box, and all co-ordinate with our Stampin’ Up! colours.

Granny Apple Green was used on this card, and it really pops against the Basic Black cardstock. It can be tough to add colour to dark cardstock, and using the Soft Pastels gives you a way to do that.

Colour coordination is a really advantage with Stampin’ Up!, because you can easily mix and match elements to create a gorgeous project with little effort. The piece of Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper that is behind the chalked pastel piece is a great example. The colours on the piece are white and Granny Apple Green, and while it coordinates nicely with the card, it also gives a bit of visual interest.

Aren’t these butterflies pretty? The Brushed Brass Butterflies are in the Jan-June Mini Catalogue, and they catch the light but are muted because they’re not shiny. They look great on this card. I have been pulling them out and attaching them to a number of projects lately because I really like them.

Thanks for stopping by today! I love the pop of colour that the Granny Apple Green chalk from the Soft Pastels give this Friendly Hello card. It’s a nice change from ink, or colouring with Stampin’ Blends. Enjoy your day, email if you have questions, and I should be back on Wednesday. Until then, Happy Stamping!
