Welcome back stampers! Today I have a card that was created using the Snowfall Thinlits & Snow is Glistening Stamp Set. There is a bit “more” on this card than what I usually add, but it’s a lovely card.
This card has been CASEd from one created by Bree Renwick. Her card has a lot of layers to it, which really adds to the texture of the card. I think that part of the reason why I stay away from cards with oodles of layers is that I’m never sure whether the layers go well together.
Bree’s colour scheme is Soft Sea Foam, Smoky Slate and Merry Merlot. This isn’t a colour scheme that I would have thought of using before now, but they look fantastic together.
The stamp set itself has images that can be used on many different winter projects. You’re not restricted to cards or Christmas. Picture the snowflake images stamped in white or blue on a scrapbook page – they would be stunning. The Snowfall Thinlits are even more versatile, because they will cut snowflakes, but also flowers.
*Tip* Images from two different stamp sets can be die cut with the Snowfall Thinlits.
My favourite element on this card is the big snowflake, because it has been cut from the White Velvet Sheets. The velvet isn’t thick, so it has more of a velveteen finish, but it feels so nice under your fingers.
