Good morning! Have you tried the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape? It’s specially designed washi tape that made up of petals! It’s easy to use, and the effect on a project is spectacular. Let’s have a look.
Before we take a closer look at the washi tape, let’s have a look at the rest of the card. The base itself, along with the die cut/embossed piece, is cut from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. I have used SO MUCH of this cardstock over the years, and I still love the colour. It’s one of my all-time favourite greens on cards, in scrapbooks, and on other projects.
There are many different items in the Pressed Petals Suite. All work together, or can be used with other products to create some pretty unique items. On this card, I diecut the top layer of cardstock with one of the Petal Labels Dies. It creates this lovely opening, and you can put just about anything in behind it.
The really pretty Scripty 3D Embossing Folder is part of the suite. I embossed the paper first, and then embossed. Most of the time it’s ideal to emboss after cutting, to prevent any “squishing” of the script. When using your dies, you may see a line around the cut line, where the other edge of the die meets the paper. Embossing after cutting helps to minimize it. If you look below, you won’t see a line.
The Pressed Petals Washi Tape is really unique. Normally you see washi tape in rolls. You peel off what you want for your project, and use it to tape something down, or as a decorative element. With this roll, you peel off petals. They are sticky all over the back, so you can stick down as much or as little of the petal as you want. I opted to stick down the “centres”. It makes for a tough card to mail, but the 3D effect is lovely.
