I posted a teaser of this Pop of Paradise card a couple of days ago on Facebook, just to let everyone know that Flamingo Fridays are back. This card is also featured on a Project Sheet created specifically for those that place online orders and add the Host Code (yes, I know that I don’t actually have a Host code, but one will be posted on April 1st).
Isn’t he cute? This layout has been a favourite of mine for a few weeks, so don’t be surprised if you see another card using this layout pop up soon on the blog. I’m also getting ready to open an Etsy store that is centred around flamingos and skates, so I’m trying to stockpile some items that can be posted once it’s up. Skates and flamings are an odd combination, and I don’t think that I have any flamingo stamps where the birds are on skates, but seeing as how I need to make some extra cash to help pay for skating, and I adore flamingos, it does seem to be a good fit.
There is some embossing on the black background, as I have taken one of the leaves from the set, and embossed it using clear powder to give a bit of sheen to the card. I have also coloured the bird with markers, because flamingos DO NOT have pink beaks! The full material list is below.
