Welcome back stampers! Today’s card is another that I stamped at a demonstrator event on Saturday. It features images from the Peaceful Noel stamp set, and the Joyous Noel Suite. Jennifer Tinline’s finished card design is quite elegant.
I’m probably one of the few that didn’t fall in love with this suite when I was flipping through the Holiday Catalogue. I generally prefer fun or casual over elegance in my projects, but I do like expanding my horizons. Everyone can get caught in a bit of a rut, and moving outside of your box is a good thing.
*Caution* Always make sure that you love the stamps you are adding to your collection and that you can see yourself using them for a bunch of different projects. If you only love one or two samples, consider how much you “love” the set before buying it. You don’t want the stamps to sit on your shelf, never to be pulled down. You want stamps that you’re constantly reaching for because you absolutely adore them!!
Peaceful Noel has some lovely stamps that you can use on non-holiday cards, which makes it more of a versatile stamp set. Elements are easy to line up because it’s photopolymer.
Besides the Peaceful Noel stamp set, there are two other products from the Joyous Noel Suite on the card. The Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper has some really lovely cover foil accents on one side of the paper. Jenn also added some copper foil accents that were punched with the Sprig Punch, and the sentiment was heat embossed with copper embossing powder. Check out the copper sheen (and the sumptuous Tranquil Tide velvet ribbon!) in the photo below.
