Hi Stampers! Today’s project is a set of Parcels & Petals stacked boxes. I created these for my Open House back in early June, and am only posting them now. Apparently I have TOO MANY projects waiting to be posted. Let’s have a look at today’s project.
This project has been CASE’d from the annual catalogue. I love the look of the stacked boxes, and wanted to recreate them. To make this, you need the Parcels & Petals Bundle, as it contains both the stamps and the Perfect Parcel dies.
Inside the die pack, you’ll find the die to create the box along with those for embellishments and sentiments. You’ll need to cut two of the box shapes to create the box. You’re going to find that putting it together is NOT an intuitive thing. In fact, I had to go to YouTube to see how others had put them together. I will say that once you have put them together the first time, the rest go together quickly.
The bottom box is the full size box. It measures 3-1/2″ x 2″ x 1-1/4″. A very nice size for jewellery, or treats. Creating the one of the top was a bit of a challenge, because I had to measure, cut, and glue based on a different template. As a suggestion, only do this once you are comfortable with the box assembly process.
Once the boxes are assembled, die cut the two ends of a 12″ x 2″ piece of DSP. The die is included in the set, so there’s no need to pull a punch off the wall to do this. The Come Sail Away DSP has the right colours for this stack – especially when you add Denim Ribbon and Balmy Blue cardstock to the mix.
