Good morning stampers! It’s Thursday, and normally I would post a card received in a recent swap. However, we’re only 4 days away from the end of Sale-a-Bration, so I am posting one last Hello Cupcake birthday card. Before we move on though, you’ll want to make sure you read all the way to the end. I’m beginning to post details of my upcoming Back to Basics training course, along with a OnStage Sneak Peek tidbit!
This particular Hello Cupcake card has been hanging around in my dining room for weeks. I keep all of my finished cards on the table, and move them around while deciding what will be posted when. The end result is that some are shuffled to the back of the pile – even though they don’t deserve it. This is a cute card, originally designed and posted by Angie Leach. It needs love.
The stamp set is a Sale-a-Bration item, and can be chosen for free with a $60 purchase (before tax/ship). It will be locked in the vault on Sunday evening, so you must make your purchase before then.
The Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper and coordinating ribbon provided us with the main colour for the card: Grapefruit Grove. The Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper is in the Occasions catalogue, but the ribbon was an extremely popular Sale-a-Bration freebie and is long gone. Don’t despair, because it’s easy to create ribbon that coordinates with your project.
*Tip* Colour neutral ribbon with a Stampin’ Blend (best) or Stampin’ Write Marker (better). Place the ribbon on a piece of scrap paper, and run the marker across until you’re happy with the colour.
Rectangle Stitched Framelits are probably my favourite item in the Occasions catalogue. They cut straight (woo!), and the stitching on the edge gives an extra detail to the card. The delicate embossing on the cardstock does the same. It’s there, but your eye isn’t immediately drawn to it. Here are a couple of close-ups of the card layers and you can see what I mean.
You can find the full supply list for this project at the bottom of this post. Shop my Online Store for all of your stamping needs, and don’t forget to add the March Host Code (W9D4VBDU) to receive a Project Helper Tutorial at the end of the month as part of my Online Rewards Program. If your order is over $200, choose the Stampin’ Rewards instead, and I’ll still send the Tutorial!

My Back to Basics Training Course begins next Monday, April 1st on. Each week in the 12 week course we will cover a different “basic” topic. I’ll broadcast live on Facebook each Monday afternoon, and downloadable resources will be available in a private Back to Basics Facebook Group. If you would like to be included in that group, make sure that you ‘like’ the Wendy’s Little Inklings Facebook page. Comment on one of my Back to Basics posts, saying that you’d like to be added to the group, and I’ll add you in!
Finally, our OnStage Demonstrator event takes place in 16 days. I’m presenting a new product suite at the event, and have some gorgeous projects put together to share. As soon as OnStage is over, I’ll be posting exclusive projects to my Facebook page that won’t be available anywhere else until later in the month. ‘Like’ the page, see the projects, and make sure you tell your stamping friends!
Thanks for stopping by today to check out one last Hello Cupcake birthday card. I promise that I won’t post any more. I’ve got other projects waiting in the wings. Happy stamping!
