Good morning stampers! Today’s card is a pretty Lasting Lily Sympathy Card. The Lasting Lily stamp set is one of our Sale-a-Bration sets this year, and will be disappearing into the vault on Sunday evening. You don’t want to miss adding this set to your collection.
Today’s card was CASE’d eons ago from one posted by Mary Fish. The Lasting Lily stamps are part of our new DistINKtive line. This line of stamps give you extra depth in your images, without having having to use the two-step stamping technique. However, you need to be careful when inking them before stamping.
*Tip* For nice DistINKtive images, make sure that your stamp doesn’t have too much ink on it. If it is overinked, it will be blotchy or blurry. For good results, use a drier inkpad, or add ink to the stamp with a sponge or brayer.
Only two colours were used on this card, Highland Heather and Old Olive. A piece of Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper helps to anchor the main image, and the Old Olive Linen Thread ties so nicely around the die cut sentiment. Here’s a close-up of the layers.
Did you notice the sequins that are on either end of the sentiment? They are also part of the Gingham Gala suite, and the five colours in the pack match the colours in the Designer Series Paper. We’ll come back to these in a future post, because they’re full of wonderful spring colours.
