Happy Monday! Today’s project is a beach card, created with the On the Horizon Bundle and Oceanfront stamp set. I would love to be a the beach right now… it’s a much lovelier sight than the melting March snow and puddles. Which reminds me… have you recovered from the spring time change yet? Melting snow, puddles, spring forward, all mean we’re marching towards better weather. I can hardly wait!
Looking at today’s card, I *think* that I CASEd it from somewhere, but I didn’t add a sticky note to the back with details, and I don’t see it in the Jan-June Mini Catalogue, so it’s not a catalogue CASE. If I find it, I’ll edit this post later on.
The On the Horizon stamp set is a ‘build a scene’ style set, with large images to create sand, sea and sky. You can choose different colours based on your mood, or based on the skyline that you’re creating. This card has a definite daytime summer feel to it, but it would be easy enough to change the colours to create a sunset or sunrise.
Once you have stamped your images, which takes no time at all, die cut the two pieces of fence (found in the Horizon Die set) and add them to the card. For a bit of additional interest, I have also embossed a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to layer behind the white panel. Linen thread looks so good against this cardstock and colour palette, so adding it to this card was a no-brainer.
The supply list for today’s project can be found at the bottom of the post. On the Horizon Bundle is available in the Jan-June Mini Catalogue.
