Good morning stampers! Today is the last showcase day for Nature’s Beauty, and I have a lovely holiday card for you. It’s not difficult to create, but its recipient will think it is.
I can’t take credit for this design, as I CASEd it from a card created by Sabine Rudiger. When looking for Nature’s Beauty cards before my September Open House, I instantly fell in love with her design.
A few details about this card:
- Use sticky notes or Post-It tape to mask the edges of your sponging
- Sponge Smoky Slate ink at the top of your centre stripe, and Balmy Blue at the bottom
- Start sponging off the edge of the paper, and move into the cardstock itself to help prevent sponge marks
- Fussy cut the fox and branches
- Add accents to the branches with Watercolour pencils
- Sentiment is from the Merry Moose stamp set
Here’s a close-up of the card. If you don’t have Smoky Slate ink, you can substitute for a similar colour like Crumb Cake or Sahara Sand.
