Good morning stampers! This week I’m focusing on the Nature’s Beauty stamp set. It’s very timely because Thursday is International Mental Health Day. More on that in a moment. Let’s have a look at today’s project.
You can find the original sample of this card on page 63 of the Holiday Catalogue. I have changed the sentiment, because I think that this would be an appropriate card to send as a sympathy card.
The wonderful thing about this stamp set is that $4 of every sale goes toward Mental Health organizations. In Canada, the beneficiary of these sales is the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, located in Toronto, with ten community locations throughout Ontario.
Here are two close-ups of the finished card. The Stampin’ Up! artists outdid themselves on this project, because it is a lovely card.
A couple of project notes:
- A Balmy Blue Watercolour wash was quickly applied to a piece of Shimmery White cardstock – it is thicker and better able to accept water than Whisper White
- The fox and branches were stamped in Soft Suede. A Watercolour Pencil was used to add detail. It was not coloured in with water
- You can find the sentiment in the Kindness & Compassion stamp set
- The Birch background stamp was used on the Crumb Cake card base
