Good morning stampers! Today’s card was inspired by a Lovely as a Tree card found in the 2009-2010 Annual Catalogue. It was another of the projects from Sunday’s Farewell to Lovely as a Tree class.
I like the overall design of the original card, and decided to swap out the embellishments for the vellum. Here’s the original – my apologies that it’s sideways. I tried EVERYTHING to turn it, but WordPress ignored all of my requests, and photographing the page on different devices, from different angles apparently did absolutely nothing. Ugh. Technology. To see it in its upright glory, go to my Facebook page. It’s there.
Colour-wise, there are some differences between the two. Chocolate Chip has retired, so Early Espresso is the brown on this card. The tree was coloured with Early Espresso and Old Olive markers, and the trees behind the vellum were stamped in Crumb Cake.
One thing that we never did get was dies to cut out the images from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. This one has been fussy cut, which isn’t actually all that hard to do because you don’t need to go around each bough. Here are a couple of close-ups of the card:
The sentiment is in the new Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set, which is carrying over to the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue. There are some well sized sentiments in this set, and I’m excited that it is carrying on.
The supply list for this Lovely as a Tree card can be found below. You can shop my Online Store for all of your stamping needs, and don’t forget to add the May Host Code (WMYVAPGB) to receive a Project Helper Tutorial at the end of the month as part of my Online Rewards Program. If your order is over $200, choose the Stampin’ Rewards instead, and I’ll still send the Tutorial.

Don’t forget:
There are only 7 days (including today) left to order from this year’s Retiring List. We are down to the final crunch, and some items, including the clear mount version of the Lovely as a Tree stamp set, are no longer available. Personally, I prefer this set as a wood mount set because I still love the solid feel of the wood under my fingers. I would NOT wait to order anything that you need or want. 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue Open House on Saturday, June 8th from 11am-3pm. Enjoy stamping, displays, treats, and take home your catalogue and additional Wendy’s Little Inklings goodies! RSVP to save your catalogue. RSVP for a friend that hasn’t stamped with us to receive an additional gift from me!
Thanks for stopping by today to see the revised Lovely as a Tree Card, circa 2009. I have one more from Sunday’s class that I will post tomorrow as part of the last kick at the Lovely as a Tree can. E-mail if you have questions, and Happy Stamping!
