Join Stampin’ Up! before July 31st to get free ink pads AND a flamingo card

Good morning stampers!  Did you know that I send a flamingo welcoming card to each new member of my stamping team?  Today’s card is one of the cards that was popped into the mail this week!  I’m SO glad that I made more than one to have on hand, because I am welcoming more than one member to the team in July.  Have YOU considered joining Stampin’ Up!?  Join Stampin’ Up! before July 31st to get 10 FREE ink pads AND a flamingo card.  The benefits of becoming a demonstrator are fantastic, and you’ll receive your own flamingo card in the mail.

This card is a bit of a hodge podge of different items that were in my “must use these on a card someday” basket.  The colours are all current, as is the sentiment, but there are two unavailable elements as well.

I had a piece of watercolour paper that had been coloured with watercolour pencils, and blended.  I’m not sure even sure that I was the creator, because the pattern isn’t one that I remember.  The 12yr old may have been playing one afternoon, left it to dry, and never returned.  That seems to happen around here.  Since the colours worked well with the 2 pieces of embossed Blushing Bride cardstock that was also in the basket, I cut two flamingos from the paper.

You may be saying “but we don’t have a flamingo die in the catalogue”.   Yep.  We don’t.  I wish we had one that fit the bird in Fabulous Flamingo, but we don’t.  So, I pulled one from my ridiculous collection (this one is a Recollections die from the big M store), and cut this one out.  The sentiment is from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set, because I am tickled pink that my new team members will be able to save money on their own purchases and share their love of stamping with others.

As I said, everything on here is current except for the embossing folder, which you can swap out for any current folder, and the flamingo die.  This is a great layout for all types of cards, so you can swap out any long narrow die for the bird.  A stem of flowers would be very pretty.  Scroll down for the supply list for this card, and click on any image to go to my Online Store.  Add the July Host Code (2C9M3FSW) and I’ll send you 10 Project Helper Guides – regardless of the amount of your purchase. Wendy's Little Inklings: July Host Code 2C9M3FSW
