Holly Jolly Wishes Christmas Card Idea

Happy Monday! Halloween is over, and although it’s a beautiful fall day, I’m switching gears with a Holly Jolly Wishes Christmas Card. I have paired it with the Festive Foliage background stamp and some fun colours to create something fun. Let’s have a look!

The main colour combination on this Christmas card is simple… red and green. What makes it fun, is that these are much brighter than the traditional, muted colours of the season. Pairing Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green gives us a traditional, yet non-traditional card, all at the same time. The Colour Chip is below. As you have seen, I am really enjoying the Festive Foliage stamp this year. Colouring the image on today’s card is easy, and doesn’t take a lot of time. Stampin’ Blends used on this card are: Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Light Mossy Meadow.

Holly Jolly Wishes are is a versatile sentiment stamp set, because of the different fonts and messages that it contains. As this Christmas card has a somewhat non-traditional colour scheme, I added a fun sentiment. And… I did a bit of colouring with the Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. Just for fun of course… What do you think?

A couple of final notes… I cut the phrase using a Stitched Rectangle, and added White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon, coloured with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend. Rhinestones across the card add the final touch.
