Happy Monday! It’s a beautiful fall day outside, and I’m sharing a Harvest Meadow Thank You card that I made a couple of weeks ago. This project was created with the Nature’s Harvest Bundle, and the Floating Strips technique. It’s a lovely card that fits the fall season. I have spent some time playing with this suite recently, and I really do love it.
Today’s project has a very simple colour scheme – Crumb Cake & Basic White. It was taken directly from the piece of Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper that makes up the strips on the circle.
Making this card is surprisingly easy. I like cards that are not difficult to make, but look like they are. To begin, you’ll need a 3″x3″ piece of one of our Window Sheets, and a 3″x3″ piece of Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper. Cut the paper into strips, making sure that you know the order that they were cut, to make it easier to glue them to the Window Sheet.
I find it easiest to use Multipurpose Liquid Glue when adding these strips to the Window Sheet. It gives you a bit of time to move them into position, creating even spacing between them. For this card, I glued all of them on, and let the entire piece sit until the glue was dry. I then ran the piece through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, using the 2-3/4″ circle from the Layering Circles die set.
The card base is an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, folded in half. I embossed an additional 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece with the Bark 3D embossing folder, gluing it directly to the card base.
Two sets of wheat were cut using the Harvest Dies, from Basic White and Crumb Cake cardstock. These are glued to the circle, once it has been attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final step for finishing this card is to stamp the ‘thank you’ (found in the Nature’s Harvest stamp set) on Basic White cardstock, notch the ends, and attach it to the Harvest Meadow circle with Dimensionals.
