*New* Happy Tails & Dog Builder Punch

So, I used to be a cat person. I guess I still am a cat person. However, I can say that I’m definitely a golden retriever person. Before the golden came home though, I didn’t even glance at the dog stamp sets in the catalogue. This time though, I instantly fell in love with Happy Tails and the Dog Builder Punch. Scroll down, and you’ll see why.

I do have to backtrack slightly and mention that there are two pet sets in the Occasions catalogue along with the new Dog Builder punch. The Nine Lives set is all about our favourite meows, while Happy Tails is all about our favourite woofs. We have had the Cat Punch for over a year, so it’s wonderful to see that we now have punches for both of these sets.

The fun part of this set is that not only do you have the dog outline, but you also have stamps that allow you to add spots to your dog. I chose the Dalmation spots for this card, and they were really easy to line up because it is a photopolymer set. I added a Real Red collar, and he was good to go. Punching him out was a breeze! Here’s a close-up:

I’m a sucker for banners, and this sentiment is perfect to hang down as a banner on the card. Classic Garage 6×6 Designer Series Paper has some great subtle patterns along with the full blow garage patterns, and the black/red patterns work really well on this card.

I also added some Real Red ribbon around the top of the banner. This particular ribbon can be difficult to keep tied, so I added glue dots underneath the knot before I tied the final bow. It looks like I wound it 3 times around the banner but it kept slipping so I cut and wrapped two separately and the bow is the third.

The stamp set itself is full of fun elements, and the sentiments are perfect for cards. It’s nice to see a set that can be used for sorrowful cards as well, and the sentiments in this one could be used for anything with paws.

The punch coordinates with the main dog image, as well as the heart. You can punch out dogs and hearts all day long! Both can be found in my Online Store, and I’m happy to report that you can purchase them individually, or as the Happy Tails Bundle (save 10%!). When placing your online order, don’t forget to add the January Host Code (N2UNSWS2) to earn additional rewards. See the details of my Online Rewards Program HERE.
