Good morning happy stampers! The weather forecast isn’t fantastic, so it looks like a good day to hibernate in my craft room. I’m glad for the excuse because I have SO many ideas in my head that need to hit paper. Seriously. You should see the number of open Safari pages on my iPad. My kids think I’m crazy, but I just can’t help myself. So many ideas, so little time. Speaking of time, this lovely Hanging Garden Basket of Love card is very quick and easy to put together, and perfect for times where a friend or family member needs a lift.
The Hanging Garden stamp set is currently available in our Occasions Catalogue. Every sample that I have seen so far features colouring, and while this set was marketed to be used with the currently-unavailable Stampin’ Blends, you could easily colour it with the Stampin’ Write markers as well.
This is a Mary Fish designed card, with her clean and simple style. Like Mary, I much prefer cards that aren’t over the top. They are easier on the eye, less time consuming to make, and more budget-friendly. No one should go into debt because they love paper crafting. Really! I only buy stamps/dies that I love, that coordinate well with other products. I adore card making, but my family’s financial well being comes first. (It’s why I don’t own EVERY flamingo stamp set on the market.)
As we get closer to the full catalogue launch for the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue, I will post some tips on how to manage your purchases, so that you get the best bang for your buck. In the meantime… it’s only 6 days until Stampin’ Up! announces what is retiring from our current catalogues. Heading into the weekend, I may need to start a poll on Facebook. What stamp sets do you think will retire, and which will carry over? Will Lovely as a Tree finally retire? Wait and see…
