Hello stampers – happy Wednesday! I cannot believe that summer is marching on, and that we’re already at the 10th of August. Soon the weather will begin to cool, and leaves will change colour. Although, considering the heat that we’ve seen this summer, I’m not sure that’s going to happen anytime soon. However, in anticipation of the inevitable change, I’m sharing a Rooted in Nature Thinking of You card that is perfect for anyone that is going through a tough time.
This card was designed by Krista Hogenboom, and was one of her Shoebox Swap cards at our last swap meeting. Krista’s card uses only 3 colours, but its simplicity makes it very appealing.
All of the elements were fussy cut, which is easy on this card because you’re not going around crazy corners. You can also cut the leaves using the dies in the Nature’s Roots Framelits. These Framelits are able to die cut most of the images in the stamp set, and although the bundle is pricey – even at 10% off – it’s well worth it to have in your collection.
Did you notice the metal leaf beneath the twine? The Leaves Trinkets come in 2 sizes and 2 colours, so you can use them on all kinds of projects.
