Good morning stampers! Today I have two cards for you. They’re extremely similar, and both use the Free as a Bird stamp set and the seagull paper from the Bird Ballad DSP. However, there are a couple of subtle differences.
This design is one that I had originally created to bring to OnStage. However, I ended up remaking the card because I was told that the Subtles Embossing Folder would be retiring. (Error in communication because it IS carrying over!)
Here’s the second version – no embossing, and I changed up the Baker’s Twine because the one on the above card IS retiring. Both have a strip of the Bird Ballad DSP down the side, as well as the die cut sentiment.
This is a great example of how very small details can change the look of a project. The embossing on the front of the first card is very subtle, but it gives it enough texture that it doesn’t look ‘plain’. The metallic thread running through the Baker’s Twine gives it that extra sparkle, even though there are rhinestones and silver embossing on both cards. Here’s a close-up:
All of the Bird Ballad Suite items on the card cannot be ordered until June 4th. However, I have added the items to the supply list below so that you’ll be ready to go when the day comes. You can shop my Online Store for all of your other stamping needs, and don’t forget to add the May Host Code (WMYVAPGB) to receive a Project Helper Tutorial at the end of the month as part of my Online Rewards Program. If your order is over $200, choose the Stampin’ Rewards instead, and I’ll still send the Tutorial.

Don’t forget:
The retiring list is out, and a few items have sold out. Everything that isn’t a stamp is available on a first-come, first-served basis. I would NOT wait to order any of these items. Click HERE for details on what is available.
My Lovely as a Tree Farewell class is taking place on Sunday, May 26th at 2pm. Register now to make 3 cards, and enjoy using this set for the last time in a class. Class fee is $20, and drop me a quick e-mail to save your spot.
Thanks for stopping today! Make sure that you add the Free as a Bird stamp set and the Bird Ballad paper to your wishlist so that you can create seagull cards! You won’t regret it! It’s Test Day today at the skating club, so I’ll be watching and Paper Pumpkining. I’ve got cards to make! Until tomorrow, happy stamping!
