Hi stampers! One of my goals is to bring more videos to you, because it’s easier to learn how to stamp when you’re actually seeing what’s being done. Have you ever done the team building exercise where one person is blindfolded and the other has to describe how to complete a task? The end result never seems to be what it is supposed to be. This is kind of the same thing. So, I filmed a video on how to Double Emboss with the Big Shot Embossing Mats, and after editing/chasing kids/editing, I *think* it’s ready to post.
Today’s card was stamped and embossed with the Tropical Chic Bundle. It’s a 4-1/4″ square card, which is a bit out of the norm for us cardmakers. If you look at the centre panel, you can see the image from the largest die in the Tropical Thinlits has been embossed and is both indented into the cardstock AND heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
Can you see the shimmer of the embossing powder? The sentiment has been attached to a piece of shiny Silver Foil, with a couple of rhinestones added.
Looking at the lines, you can see that they are indented, as if they were just embossed with the mats. If you carefully add Versamark to the die before setting it on top of the cardstock, you can then run it through the Big Shot. Lift the die off the cardstock, add some embossing powder, and then heat set. It’s pretty amazing to see the powder melt, and the solid line appear.
Now, this is my first YouTube technique video, so be nice. It’s too long in my opinion, but nonetheless, it’s done!!!
