Good morning stampers! Summer is marching on, and today we’re heading to the beach! Ontario isn’t exactly known for its beaches, but there are some excellent spots along the eastern edge of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. We’ll have sand toys (and strong sunscreen!), because you’re never too old to build a sandcastle. Before we leave, I had to share today’s delicate card created with the Delightfully Detailed Suite. All of the suites in the Annual catalogue have a great combination of items to help take the guesswork out of your projects.
Today’s card has been CASE’d from one posted by Kylie Bertucci. There are only two colours on the card, but the focal point is the strip of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. The white side has been layered onto a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue. As long as you’re careful, you can spread just enough on to allow the paper to stick. Because it’s liquid, you also have a few seconds of playing time to make sure the edges line up. It’s also helpful to cut the Laser-cut paper a bit larger and then slice off the excess once the glue has dried. You’ll get a perfect line that way.
To carry on the Mint/White theme on the card, the sentiment from Detailed with Love was heat embossed with Whisper White embossing powder. The corners were punched with a 1/2″ circle punch, and a bit of sponging around the edge helps to focus your attention on it, because it’s tough with that gorgeous paper!
Stampin’ Up! has given us some wonderful embellishments over the past couple of years. Adding three Mint Macaron Faceted Dots adds the perfect accent to this card, and I didn’t have to colour them! When placing your order, always look at the embellishments to see what you can add to your project to give it a final touch.
