Happy Monday! Today’s Case the Catalogue Monday project has been created with the Artistically Inked Bundle. It’s a bright thank you card that you can find on page 158 in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue Let’s have a look!
The Artistically Inked Bundle is part of the larger Expressions in Ink Suite, which you can find on pages 96-97 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. Each of the pieces of this suite are fabulous on their own, but when you put them all together, the possibilities are endless. The entire suite is in photo below – you can order it all for $102.25, with just one item number.
I’ll highlight the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack in this week’s blog post. The focus for Case the Catalogue Monday is on the Artistically Inked Bundle. It has a set of stamps that are inspired by the spread of alcohol and ink across a piece of vellum or paper. They are DisINKtive stamps, so they add those different depths to your stamped image without having to reink or stamp off.
Dies in this set can cut out the stamped images, but there are two detailed dies that cut pretty images for your projects. I wasn’t sure how well I would like these, because of the fussy look of the flowers, but they are very pretty. This week’s Facebook Live project has the large floral die cut, and I really like it. The cuts themselves look like this – I find that it’s easier to appreciate their size when I have real images in front of me. Which is why I’m adding these to blog posts and my resources. It takes a bit of time to create each sheet, but well worth it when you’re looking to add an element to your project.
The base for today’s project is Poppy Parade cardstock. If you think that Real Red is a bright red, this one eclipses it because it’s BRIGHT! A piece of Basic White cardstock has been stamped with the flowers and leaves from the Artistically Inked stamp set. Vellum has been laid over top. I glued it down by lightly sponging some of our Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and then placing it on the stamped cardstock. This process prevents you from seeing the adhesive.
Four of the large flower/leaf die cuts were needed for the card. I glued them all to the vellum with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, waited for them to dry and then cut off the edges. At that point you can glue the entire cardstock/vellum layer to the card base.
Finally, the ‘thanks’ has been embossed with white embossing powder onto a piece of cardstock. We don’t have any Poppy Parade ribbon in our catalogue, so I coloured a piece of the White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon with my dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend. It’s so easy to do, and you’d never know that the ribbon was white before colour was added.

Gorgeous card.
Thank you Heather!! It was a lot of fun to make.
Wendy, I’m late to the party but I love this card! One question – how did you know where to stamp so that the stamping lined up more or less with the diecut? I want to case your card for my monthly stamp club. Thanks!
Hi Julie – honestly, it’s just stamping by eyeball. It’s been awhile since I stamped it, but I seem to remember having the die cut beside the paper while stamping, and holding it overtop of the paper to get a sense of where the stamps needed to be placed. It’s a “don’t worry if it’s not perfect” kind of card, which works really well for some stampers.
Thanks for your feedback!
Thank you!
