Hi stampers! It’s time for CASE the Catalogue Monday, and today I’m showing you samples from three different stamp sets. Why three? Because Waterfront, Snow Front & My Meadow are similar in style, and all are retiring on May 3rd. There are a lot of photos in this post, so let’s begin with Waterfront.
Waterfront was the first of these stamp sets to be released, and was very popular from the moment stampers got their hands on it. It’s so easy to create different landscapes with just a few stamps. As Katrina CASE’d cards from the current Annual Catalogue, I went back one year to CASE a card from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.
Colours on this card: Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Night of Navy, and Bumblebee. Everything is current, except for the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots which retired last year.
*Tip* To create embossed pattern on the Crumb Cake cardstock, I used the Subtle 3D embossing folder. To achieve the hatched look, run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine twice. Change the orientation of the cardstock inside the folder between each pass through the machine.
The second stamp set is Snow Front. It is a similar set, but has images that work well in the fall and winter. This card was CASE’d from one on page 59 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. The colours are Terracotta Tile, Bumblebee, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake.
*Tip* When stamping the leaves on the tree, ink the dotted stamp and then stamp it twice onto the branches, moving it around the image. This gives it the illusion of leaves at both the front and back of the tree. It’s really easy to stamp this image.
Once stamped, the tree was die cut with the largest square from the retiring Stitched Shapes die set. Watching this one disappear from the catalogue hurts because I use the dies all the time. They will remain in my collection as they’ll be used in my scrapbooks.
Once stamped and die cut, the image was layered on top of a banner that was hand cut, and a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D folder. The sentiment from the Well Said stamp set was stamped on Bumblebee cardstock, cut apart, and glued to the image. Gilded Gems were added for bling. Everyone loves bling!
My Meadow was the last of the stamp sets to be released, and it makes wonderful spring cards with flowers, trees, brook, and a gazebo. Katrina created the card on page 56 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue that I posted yesterday, so I have stamped the tag that appears behind it. It’s simple, and would work well as a bookmark as well.
Colours on this tag are Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Pool Party, and Soft Suede. The tag itself was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D folder, and the ribbon is in the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. Finally, the sentiment is in the Rustic Retreat stamp set. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I use this one a lot, and it fits perfectly on this tag.
