Butterfly Bouquet Blog Hop – April 2021

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Training Program April 2021 Butterfly Bouquet Blog Hop! We are all so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog – either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today. I am in Canada, and love connecting with people from across the globe!

For today’s project, I am highlighting the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle that will be in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, but is available now as a sneak peek. I am posting two different cards, that look the same, and yet they’re different.

The difference between the two cards is in the way the curve moves across the card, and the phrase used to follow the curve. The key is to leave the 2020-2022 Magenta Madness Designer Series Paper at the 6″ length and cut it in such a way that you end up with 2 pieces. I made the first cut just slightly above the centre of the paper. At that point you know which is the top piece because it will have dots along the edge.

Looking at the bottom section of the paper, you’ll see that it’s not a usable curve. To fix this, cut it again! The curve will be different though and you’ll need to switch the phrase to match the curve. When creating these cards, I curved the stamp slightly (you can do that with photopolymer stamps!) to ensure it matched the curve.

Finally, when gluing the butterflies together, add a line of Multipurpose adhesive to the back of the body, and place them just slightly off centre. The recipient can see a hint of the magenta butterfly, and the wings can be pulled away from the card to give it depth and texture.

Download the tutorial to recreate this card here. These are quite easy to make, with the colour is perfect heading into spring. I actually created 6 of these for a card swap, and didn’t keep one for myself. That’s okay because I have MORE butterfly cards to share from my fellow demonstrators. Don’t forget… if you purchase the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle from me before Monday April 5th, you will be added to the Fly High Butterfly Facebook Group. We will be posting projects, tutorials, tips, and a couple of quick videos over the course of the day. This group is exclusive to those that have purchased the Butterfly Bundle – don’t miss out!
