Happy Monday! Today I’m posting a Bloom Where You’re Planted project for CASE the Catalogue Monday. I had every intention of posting this earlier today, but I was transferring laundry from my washer to the dryer, and felt a sharp pain in my side. I think that the movement twinged my sciatic nerve, and I’m not moving very well right now 😀 So, things are a bit late. Let’s have a look at today’s card.
The entire Bloom Where You’re Planted Suite is on pages 80-81 of the Annual Catalogue. There are bunch of lovely projects there, and I have recreated two of them. I’m posting the first here, and the second will appear on Facebook later today. This project uses a bunch of different images from the Designer Series Paper, with only a bit of stamping.
All of the die cut plants and pots were cut from the Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper, and the Perfect Plants dies. The dies fit many of the images in the paper pack, so you can cut them out instead of stamping everything. On this project I am using images from 2 different papers. Photos are below so that you can see how well the dies fit, and what the final plants and pots look like.
There is a bit of stamping, because the leaves behind the two larger pots have been stamped right onto the brick pattern DSP in Just Jade and Garden Green ink. *Tip* for the plant on the left, I only inked up half of the stamp at a time, so that I didn’t have extra leaves everywhere. Both ends of the stamp were used to give a bit of variety in the leaves.
Don’t you love the black plant stand? SO easy to cut because there’s a die for that! I added a bit of liquid glue to make sure that the pot didn’t move, and a bit to the bottom of the plant stand so that it sits flat against the card. All post are popped up with dimensionals for… wait for it… added dimension!
Finally, the sentiment on the card was stamped with Garden Green ink, matching the elements already on the card. No bling here because it’s not needed.

It’s a solid Evening Evergreen card, and very different from today, but every time I look at it I say “I love it”. Hopefully you’ll like it as well.
