I’m back today with a pretty fun card that was created with the Birthday Wit stamp set. This card has been sitting on my desk for a few weeks, because I didn’t want to post oodles of Birthday Wit cards all at once. I’m thankful that it is here and ready to go because it was another busy skating weekend! We were up in Ottawa, where my kids had some great skates and walked away with medals! Hardware is always good! We’re getting close to the end of the season, which means more time for stamping!!! In the meantime, I really like this Birthday Wit in Full Colour card. It’s a bit more labour intensive, but the final product is really fun.
With the exception of the black ink, everything on here is from our two In Color families. It’s cute eh? The chosen colour scheme means that you *could* give this to just about anyone. The Berry Bliss isn’t overwhelming, but if you change the colours around, you can create a truly masculine card.
Layering everything under the sentiment means that you have to pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ribbon has been haphazardly layered on top of itself, and when you add the cardstock piece on top it really becomes puffy. I could add another layer of dimensional and it would be better. I do like it just as it is.
The sentiment was coloured with Stampin’ Write markers, and then die cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits. The Whisper White paper is narrower than the framelit, which gives is a sleeker look. The tricky part is lining the paper up so that it cuts evenly. This piece is just a hair sliver shy of 2″ wide.
The end of Sale-a-Bration is creeping closer. I will be hosting a ‘Last Kick at the Sale-a-Bration Can’ event on Friday, March 23rd. Details will be posted in a day or two. Essentially, as soon as my 9 month old Bosch dishwasher is fixed.
