Today’s project is a banner card created with the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper. The DSP was cut into strips and attached to the card. This style of card can be created with any pack of Designer Series Paper, but this paper just screams ‘summer’ at me, and who doesn’t want a dose of summer right now?
This card is really easy to make – the hardest part is deciding on the DSP to use, the cardstock to add, and the sentiment/phrase. We’re in Berry Week, and when I was creating the projects for this week, I used all coordinating products.
It’s the last week of Sale-a-bration, and your last opportunity to get your hands on some of the fantastic Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper. This paper is only available as part of a combo with the Berry Blessings stamp set, which you can earn for free with a $120 purchase (+tax/shipping).
I have paired the paper up with a ‘thank you’ sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. These stamps coordinate beautifully with the Sale-a-bration paper/stamps, with the same font found across both sets.
Generally it’s a good idea to have odd numbers of items on a project. I just realized that I have six banners on this card. This falls into the category of “no one will ever notice” except for me. The tails of the bow are now a seventh banner. Two banners are card stock, while the other four are designer series paper. The Banner Triple and Banners Pick a Punch were used to punch the ends into perfect banner shapes.
Basic White cardstock forms the base for the card, with layers of DSP on top. Wrap the white twine around the cardstock strip before gluing it to the card.
